I played about 500 hours of Conan Exiles in 2020 throughout the spring and summer mostly.
The first great RP experience I had was with a character named Katja on a server called Winterlust. My character Ardeth met Katja in the main city. I offered to guide her and protect her on her journey North, out of the desert, where she dreamed of building a nordic stronghold. She gratefully accepted and I immediately and confidently started leading her due south. Eventually we got turned around and in our first dangerous encounter with an ancient corrupt crocodile I promptly died. Eventually we built a house together in the North and became lovers. Over time I became increasingly more submissive. I was in my own mind playing our a fantasy of being something like Vanye to Morgaine. But Katja never knew that. We had some pretty hot sex. Which was awesome but what I loved most of all was going riding with her through the plains and barrows and wreaking havoc among the mobs and NPCs. Jousting the great woolly mamoths was particularly memorable.
Eventually Winterlust began to lose its lustre. I invited Katja's player to join me as Yyanu on some other servers. We played together in the Playground of the Gods for a little bit. There we met Aslaug, another Nordic sheildmaiden. Aslaug offered to teach me to fight as in better PVP. I eagerly joined her clan and helped her with a massive build. Katja joined us and for a time I had great expectations. Aslaug wasn't too interested in sex so Katja and I started to rebuild our relationship. Katja was also more of a perfectionist and would often rebuild parts of Aslaugs grand long house. Just as it was getting fun however the server wiped for a major restart.
Katja moved on and we lost touch. Sadly now I realize I missed the chance to friend her player either on discord or Steam. Now I think I may have lost her forever. Funny sense of loss about that. She was really fun, sweet, a strong leader and exacting builder. She was great at ERP. I would like to have RP'd a more equal relationship with her as Yyanu (something less exageratedly sub than Ardeath the Empty had been.). But that passed.
Aslaug join a Gorean server and invited me along. I leared about Gor. I even read one of the books. Hmm. I try to have respect for other people's fetishs but i found this very very tiring and ultimately boring. Even with my own desire to rp as a sexual victim and slave and everything the Gorean context just rankled me too much. I was glad that Aslaug wanted to start a fairly rebellious clan of women who were going to fight all slavers. The admin's of the server were pretty easy going and tolerated us. They also organized a couple of fun events including a tornament. Aslaug entered and fought well but was defeated by a cheeselord and she seemed to lose all interest in the server very rapidly after that. So did I, though oddly I stuck it out a while longer for no particular reason. Was I hoping still to get abducted and enslaved? No idea.
While all of this was going on I had also been playing on ISE of "Immersive Sexiles". This was a European server that had pvp, deathclaims, no consent and theft reports. It was on this server that I first created Yyanu. My adventures on ISE comprised the most intense, challenging and satisfying RP I got to experience in Conan all year. I have a couple links below to content I posted in the ISE discord. Unbelievably I seem to have lost some of the last couple of entries which is sad to me. I also met a couple of players who I did have the presence of mind to friend on discord so I'm still in touch. I hope you, dear reader, might even be one of them now. Yyanu was a romance-addict in complete denial of her problem. She fell pretty hard for plenty of characters but she got it especially bad for a an alluringly nude dwarf named Sigrun. Check out the Saga below for details. She also started to bond with the sexy and dashing Deskia. There was some serious hero worship mixed in with her feeling for D. which Yyanu regretted never getting the opportunity to act on though they had some sweet PVE adventures together.
