Well today was a really good day. I picked up a character Jacqueline a level 0 thief who had only just purchased the standard thief gear, rapier, leather armour. and discovered a priceless ruby around a corner, pulled a magical fishing rod out of a river, and discovered 3 pieces of jewelry on dungeon level 3. This plus assorted trinkets boosted me right past level 5!

I roll d20 and have +2 (on a sneak attack) against it's AC 11. This gives me a 55% chance of hitting it in the first round but this decreases to 45% once "sneak" has worn off. I have AC 11 (+1 thanks to my dexterity) and as a level 1 monster it has +1 to hit so in other words a 50% chance of hitting me. It does 1d6 of damage and I have 4hp, so if it hits it has a 50% chance of one shotting me. With bare hands I only do 1hp damage so currently I have to hit it (in this case 6 times to kill it).
